BRAND IDENTITY
VICTORIAN TRADING COMPANY
Victorian Trading Company was in a unique position during the pandemic era, as cultural and consumer trends embraced all things romantic, quaint, and 19th century. In the role of Creative Director, I identified a window of opportunity to expand our relevance in the market by reinvigorating our image while staying true to the brand ethos. The result was an updated brand presentation that simultaneously attracted a wider audience, embraced our current customer, and set the brand up for a more sustainable future. We soft launched this updated brand approach on social media and saw the following results in the first ninety days: accounts reached +251%, accounts engaged +231%, engagement of men +4%, and a significant shift toward a younger engaged audience.
TIKI TACO
When the founders of Tiki Taco reached out to me about creating merch for their restaurant, I had to take the opportunity! As local KC entrepreneurs and world renowned photographers, everything Lyndon & Lyndsey Wade touch has an undeniable cool factor. I knew theyβd let me get a little wild and a lot weird! What started as a few tees grew into a full assortment of tees, sweatshirts, hats, stickers, and more. I also designed branded concepts for to-go packaging, Club Tiki loyalty merch, staff uniforms, and my favorite - the Lil Shorty to-go margarita!
ROCK & REPUBLIC DENIM
While Trend Manager for Rock & Republic I saw an opportunity at the retailer to increase sales with a specialty line of denim, incorporating slimming technology. I spearheaded the project, creating the name, logo, ticketing, copy, silhouettes, and all design details. This garnered the brand additional floorspace, an additional 50k units in the first season, and years later became the flagship product for Rock & Republic at retail.
LITTLE SHOP OF FLORALS
Little Shop of Florals began as a personal project and a reminder that even commercial designers need a space to play. Part floral art, part set design, part apparel collection, I created this to experiment, push visual boundaries, and follow the joy of making something irreverent, weird, and wonderfully unexpected. Often working like this garners new clients, as it did with Tiki Taco, who saw the work and knew I would be a great fit for their brand!
